Potting Shed Stuffed Full!

I decided to share a glimpse inside my FULL Potting Shed today.

I just love old chippy posts, pillars and anything along that line.  My youngest son made me the
pallet table and it is filled with tons of goodies, but there is room for more!! It is on rollers so I can
move it around as the need arises. It is so big though that I doubt I move it much! I need to paint
the spacers between the two pallets a gray color, but I just haven't gotten around to that yet.
One of these days.

Can you handle all this chippy white goodness?? All the skinny white boards are
tongue and groove and they are pieces of two more pillars that I need to reassemble.
{ uh...that WE need to assemble...hubby and I }

This is one of the pillars I recently acquired for FREE! This one was mostly intact, but
there are two others that need put back together. They are all tongue and groove so
it shouldn't be too hard.  Famous last words right? ha!

Everything that doesn't have a  place in the house somehow finds it's way out here.
Thus there is a little bit of everything in this shed.

Bottoms or tops of the pillars...I am in love!!
Takes so little to make this girl one happy camper!
Happy weekend everyone! May it be blessed!!

I love flowers in the Springtime...

Don't you just LOVE the Springtime and all the flowers bursting forth out of the not so long ago
frozen earth? I know I do!

This lilac bush is one that I photographed at the Hillsdale College Arboretum last week. I adore the
color and daintiness of this strain. So many different colors of lilacs. I just can't get enough!

I added a postmark to this one

Have you ever seen this Columbine? Doesn't it really remind you of grandma's bonnet?
My bff gave me several starts of these and they are doing great.

Another one in a different color

My bff also gave me tons of these.
She said they are called Japanese Wind Flower...love them as they just dance in the wind!

Hubby and I walked back through the woods last week also
{he is still laid off so that gives us time to do things that we didn't have time for before}
The woods was just FILLED with Trillium! I adore these wildflowers as well.

This is a birdbath in one of my flower gardens. This one is in the front of the house.
I love to hear the trickling of water from my fountains.

I hope you had a great weekend and that blessings abound to each and every one of you
 in the week ahead.

I must get busy again...so many things to do and not enough hours, but I am
wearing myself out fast! I got a dilly of a sunburn yesterday, but it was well
worth it.
Happy Spring / Summer!!

Rolling along...singing a song...

...SIDE BY SIDE!

I would love you to ride along with me today as I share a few more garden pics.
Did you hop on? Okay, here we go!!

Sweet Woodruff and the bicycle just go together, don't you think?

Yes, I got carried away taking bicycle pics. lol

First stop is near the door on the back deck.
This is a very favorite clay pot filled with flowers.

Next, we will pull up along the side of the house to show you all the work I did today.

I am telling you, I worked and worked trying to clean up the flower beds
and getting out the weeds and I am plumb worn out!

I had a garage sale this past Saturday and several people wanted to buy my yard art including
this Welcome to my Garden sign that is painted on an old screen. I told them it was not for sale.

I also dug up hosta and sold them.
I had a big wheelbarrow full and people actually asked me if I would dig up more! {I didn't}
They sold like hot cakes for 50 cents a clump. I am thinking about going into the hosta business.

We are back to near the door again! We are sure getting a workout. Someone didn't plan
this bicycle trip very well. ha!

We are now riding past some creeping phlox that just keep spreading every year.

I LOVE this time of year because
the back deck area looks wonderful with all the spring blooms. By mid summer it gets rather
dreary looking though so I have to enjoy it while I can.

Along the way we pass the Sweet Woodruff again...

{Some also wanted to buy this sign!! NOPE...not for sale!}

...and an herb pot that I made this year.

I tried something new by creating a tiered pot assemblage with herbs in each pot.
I thought up this idea all on my own, but I am sure it has been done somewhere before.
I really like how it turned out.

A person can never have enough Lemon Thyme and it smells wonderful as it wafts
through the air.

We are now riding down the path that is strewn with crab apple blossoms. It smells
wonderful!!!

This was hubby's idea so I obliged him. He saw this basket sitting on the deck {from my last
years stash...it was green moss initially} and hung it on the tree so I planted an impatiens plant in
it and an ivy plant. Hope it does well. It should because it gets nice shade here.

I hope you enjoyed "rolling" through my gardens today on my white bicycle.  Our ride ended
way too soon, but I do hope that you enjoyed it and that you will visit again soon.

I have so much more work to do and I am just getting too old and worn out to keep up with all this.
I may have to yank it all someday and put in stone, but for now I will enjoy the beauty.

Tweaking

I have been doing some tweaking in the kitchen the past couple weeks.

I hauled this tiered shelf out of my potting shed
{where everything extra gets stored}
and hung it above my long shelf. I was ready to
take the long shelf down as it has been here for years,
but it it still here for now.

I added a  pretty pink carnation that I received for Mothers Day at my sons church last weekend.

How is your week going?

I am furiously trying go get set up for a garage sale tomorrow.
A ONE DAY sale.
I am exhausted already and I just got out of bed. ha!!
Blessings~

PS I have been getting questions about my kitchen wall.
You can click here to see my tutorial and make one yourself!!
Enjoy!!

Grey Dey Thursdey ~

I am popping in quick today to leave a pic or two for
Grey Dey Thursdey.

Isn't this holder the sweetest?
I found it a few months ago at Hobby Lobby.

There is a flurry of activity at this house today. I am trying to get ready for a garage sale
on Saturday and I have so much to do. Whoever thinks that garage sales are a piece of
cake hasn't had one. ha! SO MUCH WORK and I am exhausted already.

Happy weekend ahead!!

The Gardens Are Coming Alive!

It is so exciting to see all my pretty flowers finally peeking above the ground!

I love my Grape Hyacinths and the cement plaque is a keeper.

Hostas are also making their appearance.

The Columbines are unfurling their leaves.

A different kind of hosta...I have several kinds.

A rustic, scrolly bench keeps a watchful eye over all.

My Sweet Woodruff and Snow on the Mountain. I LOVE the Sweet Woodruff
when it flowers. It smells heavenly!

My chives are up far enough to use already. You will have these forever if you plant
them. They jump around and shoot their starts deep in the ground here there and
everywhere.

I am a lazy gardener as you can see in the photos. I haven't even cleaned all the leaves
up from last fall, but it is what is is.

It is all beautiful in my eyes!

Happy Spring/May!!

Blessings~
